Earlier this week, Texas Woman’s University, the City of Denton, Texas Women’s Foundation, and Bezos Academy celebrated the opening of Bezos Academy Denton, our largest preschool in Texas. The six-classroom school can serve up to 120 children and will provide Montessori-inspired preschool programming at no cost to families served. The school supports income-eligible children from across the Denton community, including children of Texas Woman’s University students and employees.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together community leaders, educators, families, and supporters to celebrate the opening. Speakers included Texas Woman’s University Chancellor and President Carine Feyten, Denton Mayor Chris Watts, Texas Women’s Foundation President and CEO Karen Hughes White, and Bezos Academy Chief Learning Officer Dr. Brandi Kenner.

Our partners do more than provide space. They help us build better schools, strengthen our connection to the communities we serve, and expand access to early learning for more families. We are grateful to Texas Woman’s University, the City of Denton, Texas Women’s Foundation, and everyone who helped bring Bezos Academy Denton to life.
