We are interested in working with school districts that want to invest in the lives of local children by hosting tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools in their facilities.
Bezos Academy is building a network of tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools in under-resourced communities. Our preschools offer year-round programming, five days a week, for children ages 3-5 years old. Families earning up to 400% of the federal poverty level are eligible to apply.

Host an Academy
School Districts and Bezos Academy
We believe every child deserves the great start that an excellent preschool provides. Unfortunately, there simply aren’t enough affordable preschool options, especially in under-resourced communities.
That’s why our model relies on Community Hosts – organizations, like school districts, who deeply understand the needs of their communities and help us identify the areas that can benefit the most from a Bezos Academy preschool.
School districts have proven invaluable partners for us. In fact, 38% of our preschools are hosted by school districts, and we are eager to increase that number!
What Does a Community Host Do?
Community hosts are individuals or organizations who share our belief in Child First Always and wish to positively impact their communities. These organizations provide the physical space where Bezos Academy schools are housed, including outdoor areas for the children.
Bezos Academy collaborates with them to renovate the space into a warm, welcoming preschool environment. We then furnish it with everything required to open a new Montessori-inspired preschool. Our preschools must follow high standards, including meeting or exceeding all state and local early childhood education licensing requirements.
We cover operating expenses associated with our preschool programs at no cost to the families we serve or our Host. We hire, train, develop, and pay talented educators and provide everything the children need during their day with us, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
